Diabetes

With the rise of obesity and sedantary life styles, type 2 diabetes is now reaching epidemic proportions. Dr. Nourparvar's approach to diabetes combines aggressive life style modifications (diet and excercise), combined with early intervention with combination therapy to prevent complications and haulth disease progression.

Type 2 Diabetes is infact a continuum. The disease process starts many years before the diagnosis is made. It starts with a condition called insulin resistance and over the years progresses to Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT), or Pre-diabetes. If left untreated, it then progresses to full blown type 2 diabetes. Early intervention and diagnosis often results in prevention of disease progression and in some cases even reversal of the process.
